dawning

…and crossing
far north
my phantom
surreptitious tracings
echo
gravity’s child
a whisper
and you there
aurora borealis
casting
ethereal shadows
captivating
waves
rebound memory
upon pools
your eyes
softened by
the lantern
bore high
above you
a tear
a nectar
even love
cannot compare
the time stood
alone
between earth
and sky
mirroring the light
and merging
colored unity
crystalline joy
yellow and rose.

Aurora-Borealis

wrapped in blue

city lights

caught the butterfly

green shoots come

push past the many

concrete memories

broken glass knows

what reflections invert

back to earth

your mother crying

for this

forest scent

before rain

that pause of leaf

of sky

almost touching

the insatiable reach

across longing

dew laden ferns

polished stone

and the day

comes

gently

takes you in.
