much time
had passed
before recalling
splash of color
before the gray
consumed eyes
watch the fading
figure distancing
as the hollow
grew inside,
yet, still hopeful
strange contrast,
knowing how
the universe
loves to fill
a void.

I love this one and its perfect ending,”knowing how the universe loves to fill the void.”
Consumed, fading, hollow, distancing…but hope…
